Please find below a list of options for your child’s age group.
The 8 and Under Class is IPA
8-11 Years ( Middle to Upper Primary ) can choose either Junior Acting or Junior Musical Theatre
High School Aged children can choose either Acting for Stage and Screen or Open Musical Theatre.
Once you have decided which of these classes interests you, please go to the enrolment page and submit your application form.

IPA- Integrated Performing Arts
An integrated program of Drama, Singing and Dancing.
IPA is about confidence building as children gain skills in the performing arts. Our program has been developing children’s confidence and skills over the last 25 years through fun filled and creative classes in a nurturing environment.

OVER 8-11 years
JUNIOR ACTING
Middle Primary Aged Children explore improvisation, role play and short scripts developing their theatre craft along the way as they establish characters for stage performance. Our Acting classes are for young people who are aspiring actors across a range of media who enjoy a range of texts and genre. Students need to be able to have a degree of reading fluency to participate actively in these classes.

Learning singing, dancing and acting by developing skills through repertoire , songs and shows.
Our qualified singing, dance and musical teachers train you for being in Musical Theatre. Musical Theatre students also perform throughout the year including musical productions.

12 Years and OVER
ACTING FOR STAGE & SCREEN
Whether developing acting craft, vocal technique or for sheer enjoyment, our ACTING CLASSES are a fabulous way for High School Students to explore acting for the stage and screen

SPECIALIST CLASSES
At BYTES we hold auditions annually for our Specialist classes. A specialist class is not for anyone new to the performing arts, nor is it based upon a person’s age. Just because someone is 16 for instance, does not mean they go automatically in to Studio B and many students choose NOT to go into the Specialist classes because they prefer to have fun and cannot commit more of their time each week to extending this area. That is perfectly fine too.
Rather these classes are for a young person who shows definite potential and has already performed at a level of excellence. These classes are for performers who have already decided that they want to commit time and energy in to improving their techniques, approaching their rehearsals with a heightened level of focus and attainment, their focus and motivation must therefore be of the highest of standards.

Studio X ACTING
OUR AUDITIONS FOR 2025 ARE NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN
Studio X specifically aims to work with students whose technique and ability to convey emotions, slip in to someone else’s skin and act with intention is already apparent. This extension program is for those who are serious about their acting and have the Studio B program firmly in their sights. Studio X Acting can be taken with Studio X or B Musical as a COMBO or on its own.

LEVEL: Experienced-Advanced
This Specialist Class specifically aims to work with students whose technique and ability already shows great promise. The program is for students who are serious about continuing their musical theatre journey and have aspirations of auditioning for the Studio B program in the future, or seeking out Musical Theatre at a tertiary level.

LEVEL- Advanced/ Pre Tertiary
The ultimate performing class for aspiring actors.
Excellent discipline and commitment are an expectation of each member of the group as they hone their acting skills in preparation for Tertiary Acting Courses and professional Work.
Students focus on film, classic works, developing potential for industry work and immersive acting experiences.

Elite Musical Theatre Performing Group for students 14 and over
Students have intensive tuition in all aspects of the performing arts- Acting Craft, Dancing and Singing and Musical Theatre technique.
By Invitation/ Audition Limited Numbers. This is for students who want to focus on MUSICAL THEATRE and are looking at performing arts tertiary possibilities or the industry in the future.

This is an Intensive Performance Training Program in Singing, Dance and Drama. Students are invited based on previous displayed excellence in either musical theatre or acting.
PAYMENT OF FEES
Term Fees are payable upon BOOKING YOUR CLASS through the online MEMBER AREA portal. This automatically puts your child on the class list… IMMEDIATELY.
It secures their place.
At BYTES we like to support kids who thrive by doing the performing arts. We also NEED to pay our fabulous teachers and the rent, as well as numerous other expenses….. just like everybody else.
If your family needs help in organising your financial commitment for your child to attend BYTES, please contact us so we can plan, in advance how payments will be possible. We know that times are tough but we have many families who plan their payments effectively and are always on time. Over the 25 years BYTES has also assisted many families in ensuring their child can attend. We do however have our own financial commitments, so prompt payments or regular plans are very much appreciated and necessary for us to run our business.
We don’t like chasing people up for late fees, nor do we want to STOP STUDENTS FROM ATTENDING, so please communicate to us.

FEES
TERM FEES ARE 9 Weeks with some additional rehearsal and performance times throughout the year, which are included and not charged extra.
BYTES always operates on Student Free Days and Public Holidays that occur during the term and do not fall in ‘School Holiday “ periods.
