THE INFORMATION BELOW OUTLINES OUR AUDITION PROCESS

Please Find Below the Information regarding Auditions for STUDIO B Acting, Studio B Musical Theatre and Studio X Acting and Studio X Musical Theatre in the future. This will provide you with an idea of what you will need to prepare if you intend to apply.

If you are wishing to be part of the STUDIO B or STUDIO X COMBO ( meaning you do both Acting and Musical) you will need to complete auditions for both sections.

AUDITIONS FOR STUDIO B ACTING

STUDIO B ACTING

14-18 years

APPLICATIONS FOR STUDIO B ACTING are OPEN

Auditions

People wishing to audition for STUDIO B ACTING are to

  1. Submit a self take audition of a script from film or television 1.5 minutes. Another person may read the other character off -screen if there is more than one person in the scene. It is important that the person who is auditioning shows a range of emotional development within the scene.

  2. Submit a 1- 1.5 minute monologue from a play.

  3. It is advisable to have a contrast of pieces either comedy or dramatic or make one contemporary and the other from a classic text.

STUDIO X ACTING

11-14 years

APPLICATIONS FOR STUDIO X ACTING are OPEN

Auditions

People wishing to audition for STUDIO X ACTING are to

  1. Submit a 1.5 minute monologue from a play or film script

  2. In 1 minute tell us why you like acting and what is one of your favourite Films, Television shows or plays and why.

  3. The piece is to be uploaded to either a dropbox or GOOGLE DRIVE and the link sent with your application to robyn@bytesyouththeatre.com

AUDITIONS

People wishing to audition for STUDIO B MUSICAL are to :

  1. Prepare a 2 - 2.5 minute song from a Musical. The piece should include either dance or choreographed movement to convey the context of the piece.

  2. In 1 minute tell us why you love musical theatre and why you would like to be a part of this program. Please also let us know your favourite musical and why.

  3. Film your audition and upload to either a drop box or google drive. Email the link to robyn@bytesyouththeatre

STUDIO X MUSICAL

11-14 Years

APPLICATIONS FOR STUDIO X MUSICAL ARE OPEN FOR 2025

AUDITIONS

People wishing to audition for STUDIO X ACTING are to

  1. Submit a 1.5 - 2 minute song from Musical Theatre. You should make sure that your piece demonstrates your acting ability and dance if applicable.

  2. In 1 minute tell us why you love musical theatre and why you would like to be a part of this program. Please also let us know your favourite musical and why.

  3. Film your audition and upload to either a drop box or google drive. Email the link to robyn@bytesyouththeatre
